When I ask someone about potential, they will reference current point of view in their life. Such as a soccer coach will comment on the teams potential of a win; a parent will comment on a child’s potential for an upcoming recital, marathoners focus potential on beating their own time, and so on.

What is your potential today? What is your future potential? Do you have dreams, goals and desires that do not seem obtainable?

Are you experiencing tunnel vision by comparing yourself to other peoples success?

When I step back and take a look at successful people; dig deeper into their story I have found three things are in common when reaching their potential:

  1. Consistent hard work; successful people daily put in “massive effort to receive massive results” ~ Scott Fay
  2. Loyalty, give it to receive it. Successful people have a team or advisors who are loyal; “Be fair, be just, and be honest, and you will be a leader who inspires Loyalty and who has the trust of those under your supervision.” ~ John Wooden
  3. Vision, daily seek God’s path; look for clarity, use your given gifts and ask for continued guidance, tenacity, strength and focus
